Soccer Betting - How To Make It Pay

Soccer betting has overtaken horse race betting in the uk as the number one source of income for bookmakers.

As soccer has been exposed to the media the greater the attraction of the game. Unfortunately the increase in soccer betting has led to an increase in the sale of scam soccer betting systems. I will tell you where the losers fall down and how you can win betting on soccer.

Winning at soccer betting is very possible. There are only three outcomes to deal with, win, lose or draw so before you start you have a 33% chance of getting it right. Of course the odds the bookmakers offer on these soccer games will reflect the differences between the two sides. Use of the internet though to research each team should allow you to make a soccer betting investment with confidence.

So why do bookmakers make so much money out of soccer betting? As someone who makes his living from betting on soccer I believe there are two main reasons why the bookies do so well.

Firstly people place there soccer bets with opinion. They will look at list of fixtures and draw conclusions on the outcome with no research. It is always easy to say a top team will beat a lower placed team, but in the competitive football leagues any team is capable of beating another. The right research can sort the wheat from the chaff as far as selections are concerned.

The second reason is accumulator bet. Focus on one result and you have more chance of success. The nature of gamblers is one of wanting to win big all the time. In searching for this your soccer bet invariably loses.
Trying to pick the winners of 4 or 5 games is a costly approach.
