2010 FIFA World Cup Final: Spain vs Netherlands Live Updates

Sports fans all over the world are less than 96 hours away from dealing with a painful withdrawal as World Cup 2010 wraps up. But there is one thing left to do – crown a champion!

All eyes will be on that championship game in Soccer City Stadium on Sunday, featuring the all European matchup between the Netherlands and Spain.

The Dutch earned a berth by defeating Uruguay in a 3-2 thriller in the semifinal, while the Spanish played their best game of the tourney in defeating the Germans 1-0.

Online sportsbooks have released odds for the title game. SPORTSBETTING.com have the Dutch at +198, while the Spaniards have been established as -111 favorites.

Over/Under bettors note that the Total has been set at 2.5.

Spain is no stranger to championship games recently, as they are the defending Euro champion, having taken the 2008 tournament in Vienna. In fact, looking at the World Cup odds heading into the 2010 tournament, Spain was the favorite to win it all at odds of +400.

The Spanish, however, have been slightly one-dimensional on their offensive attack.

The team has only netted seven goals through six games in South Africa, but five of them have come from forward David Villa.

On the other hand, goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been brilliant, allowing only two goals and making 12 saves thus far.

Spain has amassed 5 wins, 0 draws and 1 loss during its 2010 campaign and with that, 1 Over and 5 Unders as well.

Despite being listed as underdogs by sportsbooks, the Netherlands have come through to the final game boasting a nicely balanced attack.

The Dutch have scored 12 goals, which is good enough for second amongst all the teams in this World Cup (Germany currently is the highest scoring team with 13).

Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder leads the squad with five goals, like Villa, but has had more support.

Fellow midfielder Arjen Robben has a pair of goals followed by four players with a goal each.

But while the Netherlands has scored more goals than Spain, they have also allowed more as well – goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has watched five balls go by him.

The Dutch have had the honor of going through South Africa 2010 without conceding a loss thus far (6-0-0 SU) but then the question is, will they finish with a perfect record or are they due for a loss?

They have 4 Overs and 2 Unders to go with the six wins.

SPORTSBETTING.com manager Brian Taylor gave us some insight into the World Cup betting for the final, “it’s been pretty even action so far, with 41% on Spain, 36% on the Netherland and 23% on the “Draw after regulation” option.”

Total bettors have 61% on the “Over” 2.5 goals heading into Friday betting action.

As a side note, Uruguay and Germany will play the third-place game on Saturday and sportsbooks have the Uruguayans listed as heavy +410 underdogs and the Germans as -188 faves with a Total of 2.5.

It’s been a fun month filled with great goals and some really bad officiating (we won’t dwell on the negative though).

Enjoy the World Cup final.

Germany vs. Spain World Cup Semifinals: Who Will meet Holland??

The Netherlands booked their spot in the World Cup final game with a 3-2 victory over Uruguay on Tuesday. Now we see who slots into the other spot when Germany faces Spain in the other Semi-Final game on Wednesday.

Spain began the tournament as the favorites, but the 2008 European Champions have failed to impress, despite finding themselves one game away from the final.

On the side, not much was expected of the German team, but their performance to this point has their fans reminiscing of 1990 when West Germany beat Argentina 1-0 to be crowned champs.

The Germans have been an offensive machine this tournament, netting 13 goals so far. Miroslav Klose and Thomas Mueller both have 4 goals apiece, Lukas Podolski has 2 goals and Cacau, Mesut Ozil and Arne Friedrich all have a goal.

Online sportsbooks have Germany listed at +108 going into the semifinal match with Spain.

The Spaniards are going into the semis with an identical 4-0-1 mark as the Germans. Unlike the Germans however, Spain has received a bulk of its scoring from David Villa, with the forward popping in five of the Spanish’s six goals.

The Spaniards are listed at +147 vs. Germany.

There has also been plenty of action on the World Cup prop betting options. One of the more popular is the “Man of the Match” prop bets.

SPORTSBETTING.com has are the favourites for those odds:

Man of the Match Odds and Betting

Fernando Torres 5/1
Mesut Ozil 9/2
Bastian Schweinsteiger 9/2
David Villa 11/4
Miroslav Klose 5/2

Manager Brian Taylor stated, “It’s all Klose and David Villa money so far, with those two making up about 80% of all the volume”

Also, Taylor said the “First Goal Scorer” has been popular with SPORTSBETTING.com’s players.

Here are the favorites for those odds:

First Goal Scorer
No Goalscorer 6/1
Fernando Torres 11/2
Miroslav Klose 5/1
David Villa 10/3

It should be a very entertaining Semi-Final, with the potential to be an epic battle.

Good luck.

Uruguay vs. Netherlands - World Cup Semi-Final Preview

And then there were four…the World Cup tournament is down to the last few games, with the big ones, the Semi-Finals, kicking off on Tuesday.

It has been a thrilling tournament thus far, with plenty of drama, upsets and controversy.

Uruguay is looking to score their second World Cup championship…a scant 80 years after booking their first. Uruguay actually won the first-ever World Cup when they hosted the inaugural tournament some eight decades ago, but they are longshots out of the four remaining teams. Online sportsbooks have them listed at +1100 to be crowned champs.

Their path to the 2010 World Cup title game wasn’t going to be easy no matter what happened in the quarter final between Brazil and the Netherlands. But the men in Orange pulled off an upset to send Brazil home and move through to play Uruguay.

This is a very tough task for the South American side. Sportsbooks have the Dutch as the odds on favorite at +160 to take the title.

World Cup Odds:
Going into their semifinal matchup, the Uruguayans are seeing the odds stacked against them, listed as +400 underdogs; they are 3-2-0 through the tournament.

Thus far, Uruguay has scored seven goals with both Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez leading the team with three goals apiece.

The Dutch are riding high after that big win over Brazil and are also big faves going into the semifinal against the Uruguyans, listed at -303.

The Netherlands have netted eight goals this World Cup and are a little more balanced offensively than their opponents; they are also perfect at 5-0-0 in South Africa 2010.

While Midfielder Wesley Sneijder leads the team with 4 goals, the Dutch have spread the rest of the scoring out with five players – Arjen Robben, Dirk Kuyt, Robin Van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar – tied with one goal each.

SPORTSBETTING.com manager Brian Taylor reported that “68% of all the betting volume on this match has come in on the Netherlands.”

You can watch the game live at 2:30 PM ET on Tuesday.

We’ll have a full breakdown of the Germany vs. Spain match Tuesday evening.

World Cup 2010: Quarter Finals Preview

And then there were eight!

The Round of 16 has come and gone and eight teams remain – Uruguay, Ghana, Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Paraguay and Spain.

The Brazilians have a big challenge in front of them this Friday when they meet the Netherlands, but many in the sports betting community feel they have the easier route to the World Cup title game on July 11. If they get by the Dutch they play the winner of Uruguay-Ghana in the semifinals.

Looking at the World Cup odds, Brazil is the favorite at online sportsbook to win it all. Currently they have odds of +250 to be crowned champs.

For this match on Friday, Brazil is a -158 favorite, while the Dutch are +241and the Total is set at 2.5.

The Samba Boys landed atop this tournament’s Group of Death, aka Group G, finishing with 2 wins, a draw and 0 losses for seven points. Throughout the 2010 World Cup, they have netted eight goals with Luis Fabiano scoring a team-high three – Brazil has had 3 Overs and 1 Under so far in the tournament.

Despite being underdogs for this match, the Netherlands have been strong in opening round play going 4-0 straight up so far in the tournament with 2 Overs and 2 Unders.

The Dutch grabbed top spot in Group E. Looking at their World Cup odds to win the championship, they are listed at +650 to win.

Argentina vs. Germany Preview:
Argentina is one of the favorites to win the World Cup, with odds of +350, but they have a tougher route than Brazil at first glance.

It will be a case of deja vu for the Argentinians as they will face the same team that eliminated them from the 2006 World Cup, Germany. Last time, the Germans eliminated Argentina in a penalty shootout. Going into Saturday’s matchup, Argentina is listed as a -111 favorite while the Germans are +195 underdogs.

Germany and Argentina have met a number of times in past World Cups, sometimes in the championship game.

Argentina took the 1986 World Cup in a 3-2 win over Germany and the Germans returned the favor in 1990, beating the Argentinians 1-0.

Both Argentina and Germany cruised through their Round of 16 matchups with the Argentinians beating Mexico 3-1 and the Germans hammering the English 4-1.

The winner takes on the victor of the Paraguay vs. Spain match in the semifinal of South Africa 2010.

We’ll look at the other two matchups in tomorrow’s article.

Enjoy the games.

Spain vs Portugal Odds: World Cup 2010 Betting

See ya later England, we hardly knew yee Italia, better luck in 2014 USA, tough Round of 16 draw Chile…we are now down to the last few games before we head to the quarter finals.

Some countries are starting to feel a tad euphoric, while others are wallowing in despair (see England, Italy and France)

Now we have a huge matchup left on the schedule in the Round of 16, as Portugal will try and pull off an upset of Spain on Tuesday.

The appetizer for this match, Japan vs. Paraguay, should also deliver one of the best matches of the tournament to this point.

Going into Tuesday’s tilt, online sportsbooks have the Spaniards are favored at -114, the Portuguese are listed as +266 underdogs, with a draw paying out at +184 and the Over/Under is set at 2.5.

Spain was tied for the Group H lead with Chile and advanced by virtue of a 2-0-1 record straight up.

Spain managed to score four goals in the first-round of the tournament (they have 1 Over and 2 Unders so far in World Cup 2010), with forward David Villa carrying the bulk of the load, netting three goals.

Portugal made it out of this tournament’s Group of Death (G), finishing with a record that consisted of one win and two draws; the Portuguese were second to Brazil in Group G.

The Portuguese are one of the highest-scoring teams in the tournament with 7 goals for and 0 against. However, you’re going to want to note that all of the goals came in a 7-0 smackdown vs. the North Koreans.

Portugal has spread their offense out more than Spain, with midfielder Tiago leading his teammates with two goals and five other players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, tied for second with a single goal, but again, the scoring all came in that wipeout.

Like Spain, the Portuguese have 1 Over and 2 Unders so far in the tournament.

Hey if you think Portugal can rack up another big win, you can bet on that at Sportsbook.

The odds of a Portuguese victory by six or more goals is +9000, while the odds of a Spanish victory by six or more is +8000…I don’t even think those odds are high enough, suffice to say there is almost no possibility of either of those results coming in for bettors.

Brian Taylor, manager from SPORTSBETTING.com, talked a bit about the action on this one. “As expected, this one is attracting quite a bit of attention from our players, similar numbers to England-Germany and the USA-Ghana match. Right now Spain has 31% of the action, but the draw is the most popular option so far, with 41%. 28% have bet on Portugal scoring an upset.”

I’m looking forward to this one.

Enjoy the action.

Man City signs goalkeeper Fulop on emergency loan

Manchester City signed Hungary international Marton Fulop on an emergency loan from Sunderland on Tuesday after goalkeeper Shay Given dislocated his shoulder.

Given injured his shoulder in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Arsenal and, with backup goalkeeper Stuart Taylor already sidelined, City was left with Faroe Islands international Gunnar Nielsen as its only fit senior ‘keeper.

City failed in its attempts to recall Joe Hart, who is on loan at Birmingham, for the final three games of the Premier League season as it chases the fourth Champions League place.

Instead, the 26-year-old Fulop signed late Tuesday and is set to make his debut Saturday against Aston Villa, which is one point above City in fifth place — level on 64 points with fourth-place Tottenham.
Fulop is set to join City for training on Wednesday.

Estudiantes, Chivas grab first-leg wins in last 16

Defending champion Estudiantes claimed an important away win in Tuesday’s first leg of its Copa Libertadores round of 16 clash at Mexico’s San Luis, with Leandro Gonzalez giving the Argentines a 1-0 victory.
In Tuesday’s other first-leg clash, Guadalajara salvaged some pride for Mexico with a 3-0 defeat of Argentina’s Velez Sarsfield.

Estudiantes will host San Luis in the return leg on Wednesday, May 5. Velez is at home against Chivas on Tuesday, May 4.

Gonzalez hit a diagonal drive into the roof of the net in the 25th minute for what proved the winner.
Gaston Fernandez missed the chance to extend the lead as San Luis goalkeeper Carlos Trejo saved his penalty just before half time.
Estudiantes fullback Clemente Rodriguez was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 69th minute, but the Argentine club had little difficulty protecting its lead.

Estudiantes, currently top of the Argentine league standings, won despite resting six first-team players, including veteran playmaker Juan Sebastian Veron.

Kaka unhappy with performances for Real

Real Madrid's Brazilian star Kaka said he was unhappy with his performances since arriving last summer, but blamed injuries for his lack of form.

"I'm not happy with my performances, but it's all physical. I suffered a lot since I got injured," he said.
"When I'm good physically, my performance will improve, I'll be happy and the fans too," he told a news conference on Tuesday.

The midfielder has found goals hard to come by since arriving from AC Milan last summer for 65 million euros and has been accused of failing to replicate the form that made him the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007.

But on Saturday, he ended a six-week injury absence by grabbing the winner for Real Madrid in a 2-1 victory over Zaragoza.

Weakened PSG thrashed 4-0 by relegated Grenoble

Paris St Germain paid the price for resting key players four days before this weekend’s French Cup final by slumping to a 4-0 defeat at relegated Grenoble in Ligue 1 on Tuesday.

PSG, who face Monaco at the Stade de France on Saturday, were torn apart by the bottom club who picked up just their fourth league win in 35 games.

Grenoble went ahead on 26 minutes when Laurent Batlles fired home with a powerful 25-metre drive and Nicolas Dieuze added a second on the stroke of halftime. Goals after the break from Nassim Akrour and Danijel Ljuboja rubbed salt in PSG’s wounds.

Monaco were held 1-1 at home by Le Mans.
Niger striker Moussa Maazou came off the bench to cancel out Mathieu Dossevi’s 10th-minute opener.
Monaco keeper Stephane Ruffier picked up a thigh injury during the warm-up and was replaced by Yohann Thuram-Ulien as a precautionary measure, the club from the principality said.

Olic peaking at just the right time for Bayern

The 30-year-old Croatia striker’s clinical hat trick helped Bayern beat Lyon 3-0 on Tuesday night to reach the Champions League final for the first time in nine years.

It was his fifth goal in his last four European outings for a career journeyman who has played at seven clubs, and came after he’d scored crucial goals in both legs against Manchester United in the quarterfinals.

Olic described his performance as “the best game of my career.” Bayern will need him to continue his scoring run against either Inter Milan or Barcelona in the May 22 final in Madrid.

“I thought my game against Manchester United was (the best), but this one is,” better, Olic said. “I can’t find the words to express how happy I am. Scoring three goals in such a game is outstanding.”

Liverpool vs Benfica Live Predictions – Europa League

The Europa League quarterfinals match between Liverpool and Benfica will take place at Anfield on Thursday 8 April 2010, kick-off set for 8:05 PM. Portuguese side Benfica’s visit to Anfield is relevant because is not an event like the other matches that Liverpool have played in this season. There is an undeniable sense of urgency that simply was not present in any other recent match. It surely goes beyond the so called race for the fourth spot in the EPL, it means to rescue some prestige at the European level.

Liverpool and Benfica go through different realities. Benfica Portuguese table is comfortable leading the championship of their country and come from winning 2-1 in the first leg, while Liverpool is in its worst crisis in 10 years.

Liverpool is the favourite for winning this first edition of Europa League, Benfica played really well in the first leg and the Portuguese may aim now for a draw at Anfield, a result which will bring them into the semifinals.

With the planning for next season already in motion what is critical right now is Liverpool’s basically last chance to put forth a quality performance and progress to the title game in the Europa League. Again, maybe not something that carries much weight for the fans but the chance to be one of only eight teams left playing in the continental competitions is nothing to complain about, although the Europa League is not to be compared with the quality of the Chamipons League.

Manchester United vs Bayern Munich Match Preview

Watch Manchester United vs Bayern Munich at Sportsbook Online: The quarter final 2nd leg match between Manchester United and Bayern Munich will kick off on 7th April 2010, 19:45 GMT in Manchester.

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal insists Manchester United are still the favourites to progress from their Champions League quarter-final despite the German side going into Wednesday night's second leg with a 2-1 lead.

Soccer Betting

Only seven days ago Manchester United were sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table and were red-hot favourites to progress to the semi-final of the Champions League.

Earlier to the first leg of Manchester United’s Champion League there will be the quarter final fight against Bayern Munich, much of the conversation wandered around the proficient final of 1999, which the Red Devils alleged in dramatic situations. Unfortunately, for Sir Alex’s Ferguson’s men, by the time it has moved 22:35 last week in Munich, the media were considering over a diverse showing. This time United have the good chance to take revenge tomorrow against Bayern.

The hosts looked good value for their victory in the Allianz Arena, but Van Gaal feels his side remain underdogs for the return match at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is refusing to rule out naming Rooney on the bench, as his 34-goal striker looks to overcome the ankle injury he suffered in the final moments of United's first leg defeat seven days ago.

Over the last five years, with the European pedigree there is only the defeat by Barcelona and there may be slight suspect over the experienced English side to remain with full confidence of the midweek test.

Bordeaux vs Lyon Live Online, Match Preview and Predictions

The quarterfinal 2nd leg match between Bordeaux ands Lyon will kick off on 7 April, 2010, 19:45 GMT at Stade Chaban-Delmas, Bordeaux, France.

Lyon will be without Lisandro López and Sidney Govou, both suspended for their second leg against fellow Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. In their absence, OL will have one major advantage over the Girondins: two goals.

Online Soccer Betting

Bordeaux has been on an unbeaten streak in the Champions League before losing the first leg at Lyon. They were leading Ligue 1 until losing Saturday but do have several matches in hand. Lyon currently lead Ligue 1 but only on goal differnce. The two teams are very familiar with each other and there won’t be many surprises.

Pedigree, recent form and a two-goal advantage from the first leg suggest Olympique Lyon will knock out Girondins Bordeaux on Wednesday to advance to the last four of the Champions League.

Lyon, who won 3-1 at home last week after an exciting first leg of the all-French quarter-final clash, have greater experience of European battles and boosted their morale by winning 2-1 at Stade Rennes on Saturday to go top in Ligue 1.

Olympique Lyon Coach Claude Puel said, "I am not and we are not looking beyond this game - we must play a return match. Both teams want to qualify. We have to be efficient and play well to qualify."

Lyon have one foot into the semifinals with their performance in the first leg but if they look to far ahead, Bordeaux could surprise them. This doesn’t seem likely as Lyon should be focused and have shown their ability to play a defensive match.

CSKA Moscow vs Inter Milan , Score and Match Preview

The second leg of Champions League match between Inter Milan and CSKA Moscow will kick off on April 6, 2010 at Luzhniki Stadium. The match will commence at 17:30 UK.

The Champions League rolls around once more and Inter travel to Moscow for the quarter-final second leg against CSKA. The Italian champions hold a 1-0 lead going into the game at the Luzhniki Stadium.

The first leg of the tie was very uneventful for the first 45 minutes. CSKA was very organized defensively and Inter struggled to break them down. Inter’s best chance of the half came on Goran Pandev’s blast from 25 yards out that narrowly missed its mark.

Going into the match Inter welcome back ‘Super’ Mario Balotelli who was also included and scored in the weekend’s 3-0 victory over Bologna. The 19 year-old striker had been in a well-publicised spat with the club and Jose Mourinho, but he has since apologised so should find a place on the bench in Moscow.

Inter dominated the possession and had three times as many shots on goal as CSKA did. CSKA will hope that their home field advantage will help them level the score in the second leg.

CSKA on the other hand are playing in their first ever Champions League quarter-final, though they will be confident they can overturn the 1 goal deficit. Though they will have to do it without the aforementioned Krasic and Aldonin, who are both suspended for the match after picking up bookings in the first leg.

2010 World Cup Betting Odds

South Africa 2010 should be the largest Soccer World Cup betting of all time at least from a sports betting perspective. The 2006 World Cup was a veritable feeding frenzy with punters wagering billions in total, and the ultimate result of Italy winning it all has to have been a good one for the bookies. Will 2010 in SA turn out differently?

Bettors are not shying away from punting on this year's winner, and a lot of early money has come for the UEFA conference rivals Spain and England. Spain are tournament favorites at 9/2, a spot they share with Brazil. But England are close behind quoted no better than 5/1.

Other teams that have the respect of bookmakers are Germany and Argentina, with defending champs Italy very easy to back at 12/1 along with the Netherlands. It is interesting to see some support for France as well. They have shortened in to 14/1 despite being extremely lucky to qualify and playing well below their best recently.

The top ranked African team according to the betting is Ivory Coast, but they are still outsiders to win it all at 25/1.

The host nation, South Africa, who are the weakest team in the entire competition according to the latest FIFA world rankings, are 125/1 to win.

Read our World Cup Soccer betting guide for more information on where to bet on football online whether you are in America looking for Soccer Worldcup betting sportsbook or in Europe searching for World Cup bookies.

NCAA Hoops Betting

With a little less than a month before Selection Sunday and March Madness, teams, fans and the sports betting public are starting to fixate on the big tournament, “bubble” teams, etc.

As it stands, the Kansas Jayhawks are the No. 1 college basketball team in the land and the odds-on favorite at online sportsbooks to take the NCAA Championship Tournament at +150.

Colorado vs. Kansas:
The Jayhawks see action this weekend with a home game against conference rival Colorado.

Kansas has dominated the Colorado Buffaloes going 19-1 straight up in their last 20 games against them. But they are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven meetings with Colorado.

Over/Under bettors take note: The last nine times these two teams have hooked up, they have produced only 1 Over while racking up 8 Unders.

The Jayhawks have lost three straight, against the spread, the last three times they have hosted the Buffaloes.

Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt:
This Saturday’s sked is light on head to head Top 25 matchups and the lone game that features two ranked teams doing battle features the No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats and the No. 19 Vanderbilt Commodores.

It is a key matchup not only because the two are ranked but because they sit 1-2 in the SEC East standings — Kentucky has a 10-1 conference record while Vandy is 8-2.

The Wildcats have struggled in their last nine overall games against the Commodores, dropping six of nine straight up, and they are a dismal 2-6 straight up in their last eight visits to Vanderbilt (including a four-game losing streak).

Ohio State vs. Michigan State:
A Big Ten battle between the No. 12 Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 11 Michigan State Spartans goes Sunday.

Ohio State is still smarting from a 60-57 loss to the No. 4 Purdue Boilermakers on Wednesday night; the Buckeyes failed to cover as 4-point faves.

The game takes place in East Lansing, and the Buckeyes have struggled in their last 15 games there, with a record of 4-11 SU.

However, Ohio State’s last eight road games against the Spartans have produced a record of 6-2 ATS.

The push to March Madness is beginning, so hang on and enjoy the ride.

Have a good weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea: Match preview

Sportsbook - Sportsbook Online - This is the battle between the top and the bottom half of the league table. Chelsea is the league leader while Wolverhampton Wanderers are a point from the relegation line. The last time they met back in November 2009, Chelsea ran riot and extended the gap at the top of the Premier League to eight points. It was a 4-0 stellar Blues display that day while Wolves were left hammered. Chelsea are one point away from Manchester United and they will be looking to extend their lead, while Wolves are desperate to avoid the relegation dogfight.

Wolverhampton won 1-0 in their recent clash against Tottenham Spurs home at the Molinuex and took them above the relegation line. They are still are one point off the relegation zone and on top of that, Wolves have been awarded a suspended punishment of £25,000 by the Premier League Board for fielding his weakened side against their league fixture on 15 December in Old Trafford. After a good winning performance against Spurs courtesy of David Jones goal, they have something to hope for. They will face a solid Chelsea defensive stronghold and with a high confidence among McCarthy’s men, Wolves will certainly give Chelsea a run for their money..

Chelsea will be looking forward to extend their premiership points when they face the Wolves away. In their last outing Chelsea overcame and comfortably won 4-1 in their last FA Cup match against the Cardiff after they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Everton away. Ashley Cole and Michael Essien are injured while John Terry might have a possible comeback after a time off for personal reasons. Nonetheless, with or without them, Michael Ballack, Frank Lampard and the return of the unstoppable Didier Drogba from the African Cup of Nations will strengthen their title push.

With one points above Manchester United, Chelsea are desperate to stay above their rivals as long as Drogba can cause havoc against the Wolves. However, the Blues are vulnerable on their away games. Out of their last 6 away matches, they only won once, draw 3 times and lost twice, while the Wolves have won twice in a row in their home game when they face the Blues. Although Manager Carlo Ancelloti’s side have a good record against the McCarthy’s side, they have the confidence to face the giants. The Blues are expected to win big and they are unlikely to slip up against the struggling Wolves.
